fcp-x, full debayer export?

Hi Johnny,

The "REDcode QuickTime settings" tab on the REDcode System Prefs only controls quality for half res QuickTime wrappers. Again, absolutely nothing to do with FCPX or playback quality inside of FCPX.

And yes, if you do not have a Rocket card then a High Quality setting inside of the FCPX will result in full resolution during playback.

For export, you always get a full resolution whether you have a Rocket or not.

David, now this all makes sense. It's not very easy to figure out since nothing in the Prefs makes any of this clear. But now that you have made it clear, i get it....so hopefully others will get use from this explanation. Thanks for the time on this. Full Debayer during transcode regardless of settings with or w/out rocket....that was a big one since we are quite used and programmed with RCX and PrPro to set debayer settings.

Just picking up this thread.
Just one note. What I have seen is that if you Share while in Proxy Playback mode the Shared file will also be in Proxy. I'm just testing to Share with High Quality instead to see if it has any difference compared to playback. Looking at the render speed it looks as if when you Share you get full debayer as long as its' not in Proxy Mode.

As I sit here I am not 100% positive on this but I think if you "share" to a Master, you get the highest possible output. Might be worth investigation.
