FCP+kona 3 Red workflow

Please advise me some workflow .r3d files and Final cut +kona 3 card.
I need to go out with RGB 4.4.4 in 2k resolution.
I expected that after instaling KONA i would be able render files from red alert in quicktime uncompressed 4 4 4 kona 3 codec, but in red alert i can not see any KONA 3 options .
I try to do TIFF 2 k render , then go to FCP and export as uncmpressed 10 bit rgb 444 provided by cona. Is there any other way? Is tiff better or worst then DPX files? Can i import DPX files to FCP?

A DPX workflow can work for your purposes if you wish to edit completely online at full resolution.

I've had no difficulties rendering out DPXs from REDAlert! and using AJA's DPXtoQT utility (from their website) to translate the DPX image sequence to Kona3's 4:4:4 10-bit codec. It works well running through color, etc.

The only problem is that without a RAID array, you probably won't have enough disk throughput to maintain multiple streams/layers.
