This is probly a silly question.

Since I shoot alot of motorsports in slow mo. Is there a way to have an external recorder that is triggers when I hit the record button on the camera? For easy syncing in post. Then I can speed it back up and attach the audio if I wanted to..??

This answer might come a bit late, but here is my advice:

The Pix240 from Sound Devices is trigged via HD-SDI and SDI flags. Works great as a back-up/external recorder. That might be the solution?
Anyhow, I think when you shoot high framerates, that you loose the sound. Maybe an external recorder might solve that problem for you...
