if the epic is not 1:1 and still has a 1.5 factor(they should not say "full frame"), then i dont think the price is justified at all.

also adding an option to record uncompressed footage with a raid or san system.

It is "full frame S35 cinema sensor" and the moment You stop calling it a DSLR You will understand what that mean. Have You ever shot on S35 film? EPIC, as well as Red One are both "full frame" as far as cinema is concerned. They will use the full potential of any 35 mm film lenses, but yes, they will crop the still lenses. That does not make it DSLR - if anything the contrary...

The Red One is now and Red Epic will be FULL FRAME Super 35. The same FULL FRAME that Arri and every other Super 35 cinema camera uses. That is 1:1 for Super 35. SLR cameras use a different frame size than Cine. This is because of the way the 35mm film is used. horizontal vs vertical. If you put an SLR lens on any Super 35 camera, film or digital, you will get roughly a 1.6 crop factor. You should do some research.

i'm not talking about that, i'm talking about usability.
the red one 4k file is 3k usable, it's not 1:1 u have to resize to 3k to get the actual image.
the pic needs to be full frame, no 16:9 stuff, no crop factor, real pure pixel to pixel.
and about the "full frame" s35, full frame actually means something, u cant add it to s35 and say full frame s35.
u can't say something is "full size" "miniature version" of something, it doesn't make much sense.

full frame on my planet is 4:3 35mm

i used 35mm sometimes with s16 and i used 16mm film.
i also used a jvc and a canon pro consumer with 16 and 35mm adaptor
i also used some film and dslrs.
