Now that Epic-X Dragon is out, can we expect an official DxO score? Or, for that matter, a Scarlet Dragon.

It's kind of lame that DxO filters out the highest score yet due to it "not being a production model".

DxO mark might hold very little relevance to RED users, but if the camera sensor tested highest ever it should be at the top of the list.

Wasn't it because Red couldn't provide raw sensor files?

The Dragon M scored a 101 earlier this year:

The Dragon X has the sensor as the M, so I assume the score would be the same! Likewise for the Scarlet Dragon - same sensor, just more cropped in and at times more compressed.

Yes, that's what I mean.

But you don't see that score at the top of the list. DxO filters it out and you need to actively look at the Dragon test to see it. DxO has some vague explanation as to why the score isn't "official". But now that Epix X Dragon is out as a production camera, it should be a formality to formalise it, so to speak.

Let's get the list updated.

Maybe they want to actually do the test on a production model before they list it. Maybe it's less a formality, and more a Q.C. rule to avoid assuming that there are no changes between pre-production and production models. Dragon is a great example of how lots of tweaks that affect image can happen between pre-production and production models. A.D.D. D.E.B. S.K.H. L.L.O. W.T.F. ... But if it doesn't match it's original outstanding score, we will know they probably just didn't black shade it right ;) And if a client can't tell a difference between Dragon and M-X, we can just show them the DxO score and then they'll be convinced...

Yes, hence my first post. The production model is out.

I'm assuming DxO doesn't buy all the cameras they test, but are sent loaners. The first sentence in my first post should read: is RED actively taking steps, sending DxO a unit to get the 101 score (or better) up on the list?
