DSMC2 Gemini record lag

I have an issue with my Gemini sometimes lagging, probably just less than 1 sec at most, when I press record. It can be any button on the brain or the side handle. Sometimes record doesn’t register at all and I have to depress the button again.

This is particularly frustrating or wildlife or fast action stuff. I did a factory re-set but it made no impact. Firmware is also most current. Is this normal behaviour?
