Dragon 2k 240fps

Just curious if anyone has had a chance to test out 2k on the dragon, is there a large improvement in perceived sharpness and noise over MX? I haven't had a chance to check yet myself, but was thinking for some 240fps SD/HD broadcast stuff there might be some improvement.

I've been shooting at 240 for a couple of days now. Really, it looks fine. You're vulnerable to a little moire at 2k, but keep your textures simple and you're good to go. As far as noise, it's totally manageable. Make sure your shots are properly exposed and a little neat video can handle the rest. Hope this helps

Maybe slightly at best... Thing is, 2k on MX never bothered me much either. The dragon just has an overall nicer image. Better DR, better color. 2k def isn't as beautiful as 3-6k but I'd call it usable for sure

May I present Dragon Variable frame rate tests at different resolutions.

Albeit, not an epic, but rather a scarlet. This should give you an indication on how much better the epic should be. Tests were done at 2k, 3k, 4k and 5k.

Then this second video has some 2k shots in it mixed with 4k and 5k.

The opening two shots are 2k. The 4th shot is also 2k (The water droplets on the black hood). The rest of the shots are 4 and 5k.

I have an example of a test I did at 2K 240 today at 2000ISO to see how usable it was. I'll throw it up tomorrow.
