  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

DJI P3/Inspire1 4k Mixed with Red Footage

color and DR would for sure be different, also crop size... I think it should look fine though

Wow guys, great stuff! Thanks for the info and samples!

So is the consensus to shoot at -2 sharpness and below? Many people seem to recommend -1, so that is where I have been shooting.

We can't wait for the X5R...however we won't be investing that kind of money until the FAA gets their shit figured out.[/QUOTE

I own a Scarlet X, the Phantom 3 Professional, and just acquired the Inspire 1 Pro with the new Zenmuse X5 camera. I have gotten outstanding images from all three, but here are my thoughts:

-With the two quadcopters, always take down your saturation and contrast as far negative as you can just like with DSLR's to give you more grading in post. With the Phantom 3 Professional, I always had my sharpening all of the way down and never added it back in post. It already had a lot of in-camera sharpening. When I purchased the Inspire 1 Pro, it has less of this in-camera sharpening, so I actually could leave it at "0." Both you can sharpen in post, most like the unsharpen mask feature so that they can have more control. But with the Inspire 1 Pro, you may have to do more sharpening if you are stopping it do the low apertures like f 1.7. I pulled off some night shots because of the low aperture lens which obviously was better than the Phantom 3 Professional, but the edges of buildings softened up a lot like most lenses do stopped all of the way down. But during sunset hours or daytime when I can keep the aperture at f/4 and above, the image is pretty good matching the RED on the Inspire 1 Pro.

I'm selling a Phantom 3 Pro if anyone's interested. It's only been up in the air a couple times since it's a back-up to my Inspire 1 and Inspire Pro. It's in mint condition- no crashes or even scratches.

Asking $900 obo.
