Hello,

A year ago, the last time I checked, my Red One MX had around 150 hours on it, but checking it a few days ago it states "HRS 1"?

Has anyone encountered this, or know what could cause this to happen?

Thanks.

Did you find that the camera reverted back to default settings, or were they still intact? I've heard that there is an internal battery that needs to be replaced every few years.

The internal battery for the non-volatile memory is end-of-life. Normally, the battery allows the non-volatile memory to retain information, such as number of hours, and other user settings between power cycles. From what I currently understand, it is not really an "issue" and shouldn't interfere with normal operations. But just be aware that all your settings will reset if the camera looses power.

It is fixable, but will require a "technician" as the internal battery is soldered into place.

For reference, the battery is a Panasonic ML2020 "coin-cell" and is between $2 and $3.
