Hello everybody! I'm worried about one question. I heard that Davinci Resolve does not correctly show the LOG and as a result Shot colored in Nukoda (as an example) and colored in Davinci will be 100% different. Is it true or a myth? and why

myth, and no reason for it

i've graded features in Resolve, Nucoda and Baselight, a log encoded image seems to present identicaly in all three.

once you start gradeing there's diffrences

just importing? no diffrence that i can see

It's possible to match grades done in any program, but it's even more likely to take it to such an extreme you can't quite get there even in the same program with different colorists.

But Log generally looks the same -- I've compared Log in Baselight and Log in Resolve and it's 100% identical assuming the same output color space. You can always argue that the tool set is different in different kinds of software, and that can lead to deliberate different looks and different choices.

Myth. All grading system manufacturers that support the R3D format use Red's SDK, which means they all get identical results, at least for the basic debayer. What you do after that is up to you. It is true that Red updates that SDK on a semi regular basis, and that can change things, so the software you're comparing needs to have the same SDK version embedded.
