Custom, Non-Symetrical Digatal Overlays - How?

OK, we need to do custom non-symmetrical overlays in our EVF/Viewfinder. How can we accomplish this? My bet is it is easy and I am just not nbeng smart right now....

I'm not sure, but might be worth trying with the red toolkit app (as it has a key mapper and guide creator).
