I'm a Red One owner/user, but had been doing a bunch more handheld, run-and-gun lately and wanted something lighter, so I got a Scarlet. I had my first shoot with it yesterday and it worked great, but I had one major issue that I can't seem to fix. We were recording audio separately, but running a boom mic into the Scarlet directly. The mic had no power, so I had on the phantom power, all through XLR via a Wooden Camera A-Box. Everything worked perfectly all day until suddenly about 3/4 of the way through the shoot, I just couldn't get any audio into the camera at all. Nothing on channels 1 & 2, or 3 & 4, or any of the other million settings changes I'd tried. I also attached different microphones, both re-trying the powerless one via phantom power and using powered mics without the phantom power, but nothing. The camera just doesn't seem to want to take audio in anymore.

I'd read that early builds used to have more audio issues and there are also some concerns about fried circuits when you use phantom power. I've put in a support ticket, but thought I'd ask here too, in case anyone has run into something similar and has a quick fix.

Thanks.

Steve, this may be an obvious thing to try, but a while back I had a similar audio issue. Everything working and then not. Believe it or not what we did was unplug and replug in the 1/8 mini connectors in the front of the Epic, voila, everything works again. I don't know if this was your problem, but I thought it worth mentioning. BTW I sent the camera to Red and they fixed this issue.
