  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

anyone else have thoughts about CF to expresscard adapters?

i have an older macbook pro without the firewire 800 and i don't think an expresscard to firewire 800 adapter is an option because it doesn't provide power.

i'm considering going with the delkin cf to expresscard adapter so that i can use firewire 400 drives.

otherwise i'd be looking to update to a newer macbook pro, but i'd rather wait until quadcore processors and bluray are available. seems quite silly to upgrade merely for lack of one firewire 800 port. any suggestions?
 
just saw that the belkin adapter only gets about 20 MB/s. that's a shame
