I am not sure if it is possible to identify the problem remotely, but I'll try, maybe somebody already had the same problem;
I can edit R3Ds from R1 on any of my computers, even on old dual core, but I am not able to open, view and edit any R3Ds from Epic and Scarlet that I tried to download from
RED user or web, vegas gives me an error that file is "probably corrupted' but the same files are good in redcine;

I had Vegas 10 work fine with r3d. I do remember something I had to do to get 5k to work. Try a 4k file and see.

The file format changed for Epic/Scarlet R3D files. They aren't the same as RED One R3D files. Vegas Pro 11 will work with Epic footage natively. Vegas Pro 9 just does RED One R3Ds, skipped Vegas Pro 10 myself, so no first hand experience with that version.

Muchas gracias guys,
11 works fine now for 5K files, surprisingly fast,
I still prefer Vegas to any other NLE :)
