I shoot a lot of interviews, and oftentimes I am alone. I want to be able to add a marker to a shot in real time, something that will import with the footage into Premiere, so that I can go back to an hour of footage and know exactly where the good sound bites were located. Does this exist? Thank you!

Sorry if this question has an obvious answer. I'm new to RED.

There is a key action "Record: Mark Frame" that can be mapped to any key. I don't know if Premiere is using these markers or not but they are available and part of the metadata. Worst case you might need to use RedCineX to get the marker timecodes out.

That's great, thank you! I will try it and reply if it transfers to Premiere.

Call me crazy, but I'd hire an assistant and have them carry a pen and a pad. And maybe carry a backpack with spare batteries and SSD cards. And a couple of bottles of water. And snacks.
