Can my RED 5,6"LCD(cable or monitor) be butchered?

Can my RED 5,6"LCD(cable or monitor) be butchered to accept power and HDMI? I want to use it as a monitor for my 5D mark II. Its the perfect size.

Probably not worth it. It uses some sort of proprietary DVI-like signal with power.

Probably a lot simpler to get an Ikan V5600 for $699 (or something similar):

Same resolution and similar contrast and viewing angle specs and takes the hdmi in directly as well as 12-24Volt in or has a camcorder battery adapter.

I thought some of the monitor electronics were inside the Red One body?

Hence why the Red monitor is so small.
