  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Can anyone recommend a DVD / Blu-ray manufacturer in California?

You should contact Signature Media. Has the disc already been authored? If not, you should contact Giant Interactive. They have an office in NY and in LA.

Are you an AACS licensee? If you want to replicate a disc, you will need to be. If you want to put the Blu-ray logo on your disc, you will also need to become a BDA licensee. Look at the content provider agreements. I paid a onetime fee of $3k to AACS and I pay a yearly of $500 fee to the BDA.

At replication time you will also need to pay for an AACS key, glass master, artwork stuff, etc... Signature Media has great pricing for indies. They used to be L&M, but split the business in two. Half went to replicate adult titles and the Signature Media half handles everthing else. This was probably done to get big studio support like Disney, who will not do business with those who replicate adult titles. They had an incident several years ago where a Disney DVD actually had an adult film in it. Probably wasn't they Bambi they were looking for. :) (I don't recall the actual title.)

For 500 discs, it will probably cost you $0.75 per disc.
