  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Budget on-camera monitor

Glad I could help.
I do want to make sure it’s clear that
you do need Komodo Link attached to the top pins on the Komodo to connect via USB C.

While Komodo X does have a USB C port built into the camera body, Komodo OG requires the Komodo link adapter for USB C
connectivity.

Yep, appreciate it. Have had the 'Link adapter' for a while and have love using it my current phone, just needed something with a brighter screen for outdoors. I got the Stylus G 2024, and while I wish it were a tab brighter, it will definitely work.

In the end I went with the RED Touch 7.0. It is too expensive what it is but I would still buy it again. I wrote a review on B&H on what I like/dislike. Reason to buy it for single operator: integration and ease of use.

I also tried the iPhone extensively – I like it, that app can do a lot even though there is a learning curve to it, but its for special purposes and I wouldn't say it can really replace a good screen.

I've been using a feelworld Lut6S on Komodo for years and am very happy. Inexpensive, lightweight and 2600 nits - I shoot outdoors in the desert without thinking about the screen.
