Hello,

I am interested to get a Breakthrough-Mount for my RED DMSC2.
What is the Status quo? Are they already shipping? Are there any Cinema DFM in the wild?

I know several went out this past week, but yes the Cinema DFMs are in the wild. Best thing to do is reach out before you order to see if there's a good way to get an ETA.

I paid in full a month ago. Never showed up. Asked about a tracking number this past week with zero reply on email or phone. Last night I noticed in my credit card account I was refunded $900 of my $999 on Jan 6th. I hear its real good but I guess it wasn't meant to be for me. Moving on.

I ordered a DSMC2 DFM mount on September 7th, 2021

I emailed them on December 31st, 2021 to inquire about an ETA and got a response the same day that they are not comfortable giving ETAs. I was told that my order is in the queue and that they are manufacturing daily and going as fast as they can. It sounds like they only have the capability to make one type of mount at a time, so that is probably contributing to the delay.

Probably not what you want to hear but just my experience.

Very well could be… On Dec 22 I was emailed a pic and was told it was shipping that same day. No big deal waiting a little longer, it was the holidays and all. I didn’t ever ask for a refund, I just inquired on Jan 6th since I still had no tracking info sent to me and nothing had shown up.

Yeah, I've heard stories of people waiting more than a year, so I went into this whole thing expecting a long wait.

I'd be a little annoyed too if they told me it was shipping on Dec. 22nd and then nothing.

Figured I would follow up on my previous post. I did finally receive my Breakthrough DFM for DSMC2 PL mount. I received it around the middle of August 2023 (this year). It is very well made and has performed to my expectations. Just a bummer it took so long but that's how manufacturing new things goes sometimes I suppose. Luckily I will probably be shooting on DSMC2 for a couple more years so I will get some use out of it.
