please bare with me and help if you can with my problem.
Basically today while working with my pro ress 422 hq quicktimes of RED footage instantly at 1ish random blue pixels showed up in my footage.
Please see attached photo for reference. They can be seen in the middle dark region of the frame. Im having trouble uploading a 2k frame grab if i lower the size you cant see the dots from the frame but you still can when played. im a bit lost to what to do :-(
The pixels are bright blue, continue to dance around the screen with each frame and when zoomed in are of various shapes and sizes. it literally happened instantly. This did occur after deleting some files from the project folder that had NOTHING to do with the QT's or sequences. They were graphics files.
Things get wierd from here.
everything that involves these quicktime files now all of a sudden has blue pixels.
The files that were in fcp timeline before going to AE ---BLUE PIXELS
the raw files viewed from quicktime-- BLUE PIXELS
The raw RED files do not contain blue pixels in their proxies nor in REDCINE preview. The original data from camera was archived on another harddrive that was not attached to computer at time of pixelation.
I have done the following to remedy the problem:
-reexport certain clips from REDCINE--Still get blue pixels
-reexport certain clips from REDCINE on another mac pro--Still get blue pixels
-reexport certain clips from redcine as uncompressed versus pro ress--Still get blue pixels BUT they are less in numbers
-remove break out card--still get blue pixels
-Placing raw footage onto another computer for viewing--still get blue pixels
All of my exports from the day before contain no pixels!
My entire project seems to have been infected for lack of a better word
the brightside is my project is approved and the export/edit from yesterday will be enough for the client BUT this is not good as i feel like something has gone terribly wrong!! please help!!
if i have left out any details please let me know. the specs of my main machine
2009 mac pro 8 core
stock specs
4 1tb harddrives internally
12 gb of ram
black magic intensity pro card
