Ty Evans just finished his massive skateboarding film with Brainfarm. The Berrics did a little profile on him, looks like there's more to come, but I figured some of you would get a kick out this. Ty has always had incredible drive, and has always been learn whatever he needed to in order to push the boundaries. But even knowing that, I was amazed to see just how much he pushed things on We Are Blood. He shot the whole thing on RED cameras, most of which would have been on dragons. When you're a little kid and you skateboard, you learn to think of your board, precious as it may be to you...as a tool. This approach tends to bleed into everything. Ty's cowboy approach to production isn't for everyone, but you gotta admire his pluck.

there's another series called "shoot all skaters" on the same website that chronicles Ty's career, if anyone is interested.
