Hi everyone,
I'm new here, just want to know if someone can direct me to a thread on how to setup for editing RED footage. I recently filmed a videoclip for a local band on the RED One. I have 200GB worth of rd3 files ready to be imported to work with FPC.

I'm waiting on a MAXX Evo since I don't have any space on my other drives but I want to make sure I'm doing the right thing with the footage and how I'm handling it.

Also what is the best way to go with an offline edit.

If you guys can help me on directing me to the post, I know they are some where here but I've looking for it and I had no luck. :confused1:

Thanks.

You can use redcine-x find a few tutorials you basically are in very deep if you dont know how to edit and I would consider hiring someone but you want to transcode prores proxies for an offline edit, hopefully you have proxy files from the camera because you can later go online with clipfinder and conform your xml's and go online in apple color that way. The proxies you transcode are different from the camera transcodes, I always find it easier to x-code and edit with prores proxies rather than the camera proxies but the camera proxies are your online matchback since they reference the original R3D. Somebody tell me if Im wrong but I believe thats a solid workflow
