My question is so basic that I couldn't find it anywere:
Yesterday I bought an Avid artist color + artist control.
Both connect well with EuControl (when i hit some keys i can see EuControl showing them).
But I can't figure out how to connect them with Scratch. No matter what I move or click, there is no reply from Scratch to the control surfaces.
Is there anything that I should configure or download maybe?
Any help will be much appreciated.

Hi again,
My MC Color was stolen the day after I posted this. I got a new one yesterday and i´m facing the same problem.
Off course i checked the manual.
I turned on the MC color inside the system preferences / advanced.
I also get inside the Player / Settings / Panel Settings / Configuration interface.

But I can´t get any feedback, nor any proof that the MC color is properly conected to scratch.
Should this be working out of the box or am I missing something?

Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks,

Hi Martin,
EUControl is still installed ?
Ensure only MC color is activated in the preferences.
Use the same Scratch user as before.
If it still fails, send a logfile to support@assimilateinc.com

Cheers
D.

Thanks for the help Daniel,
And yes, I reinstalled everything.
Now i´m facing a new problem: After restarting everything (pc & mc color) the MC color was recognized by scratch, but not correctly:
When i get into Player / Settings / Panel Settings / Configuration interface, and move/press anything from the MC color, a new item appears into the column "Encoders/knobs". As far as i know this should be the normal behavior so i can assign the top knobs to any parameter I choose, and that works. The strange thing is that none of the added "encoder/knobs" appear with a proper name, instead they all appear with a number (ej: 00034010) as it´s name. (this is not a problem really, but i guess its not correct)
This also happens with the balls, and i guess that those should be already assigned to the correct hue/lift/gama/etc parameters, am I correct? This is a problem cause I dont really know to which parameter i should be assigning them (actually, i can´t seem to find them, and i guess that those should be auto-assigned, right?).
Cheers,
M

Martin,
Why are you not connecting with Assimilate support ?
This is RED workflow forum and the current issue has nothing related with RED.
Please, as said earlier, send a logfile to support, which is the best and fastest way to get this sorted out.

Thanks,
D.

Daniel,
I wasn´t conecting with Assimilate support because it was weekend.
I contacted today, problem solved.
Just in case anyone is interested:
1- I had to copy cs_devices.xml and cs_mappings_mc-color.xml from C:/Program Files/Assimilate/Settings to C:/ProgramData/Assimilator/Settings and also to ../assimilator/users.
2. Rename cs_mappings_mc-color.xml to cs_mappings.xml (in both locations where I copied them)

I know this is not RED related, but most of the posts here aren´t.
I´m also a member of the sctarch´s google group but i´m more use to get into this forum.
Thanks for the help,

Martin,
cs_mappings is automatically created in the user folder when you customize your mapping. So no need to copy any file into the user folder.

Btw, Assimilate support is also available on weekends ;-)

Cheers
D.

So maybe deleting the one already created would also worked !
Nice to know, Thanks Daniel.
