Audio Delay Issue - Base Expander I/O

I've noticed a sporadic issue with my Scarlet-W where a external audio connected via the rear input of the Base I/O module is delayed be a couple seconds. This can be a quite jarring when monitoring with headphones. The audio meters are also delayed. Has anyone else experienced this issue? For the most part I've managed to switch the setting off and on, or restart the camera to resolve the issue— but curious if there's something specific that could be causing this.
