hey Jarred or someone else at RED,
is there a better plan for WEPAON users? come on...!!!
WEAPON users can only sell their WEAPON brain and buy a new GEMINI brain for 4950€ more. Again they loose more money, 3K resolution and the path for MONSTRO.
Or they spent another 11.000€ more (4950€ on the GEMINI sensor and RED ARMOR-W is 5,900€ with a 2-year commitment = 11.000€) to make their camera "sensor swappable". They will have to send in their cameras to the states every time for 2-3 weeks (no camera or rental).
Maybe some IDEAS to get the customers happy:
1. 15k cashback when downgrading to GEMINI to compensate the more costs they did before.
2. downgrade for free and keep the HELIUM 8K sensor to go back when selling the camera. so you include one "free" sensor swap in that resolution "downgrade" path.
3. lower price for WEAPON user to go up to MONSTRO...
there are a lot of possibilities. i was more than happy with my old EPIC-X. Only low-light and DR was the bottleneck.
i am happy to read some ideas...i am a RED user since 2011. so do not disappoint me and a lot of more WEAPON owners
