  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

What anamorphic lenses will be available for the Scarlet? It says on the RED website that it can support anamorphic lenses, but which ones? Thanks!
 
It'll support any Anamorphic lenses which have a PL or EF mount. However since it's a 16:9 sensor you'll have to crop down to use a 2:1 anamorphic and there'll be a slight crop factor to take into account. I believe you can get 4:3 Academy in 3k which would be a 1.25x crop factor.

Alternately anamorphic lenses designed for 16:9 s35 can be used in 4k without any crop factor but of course you'll have reduced anamorphic artifacts (less extreme oval bokehs).
