Will there be a new card from aja introduced soon(maybe a bit after NAB, when the SDK is released) that will support redcode??
Of course no one knows, its just wishfull thinking so that I dont buy the Kona 3 now...

I've noticed that AJA seems to be releasing their Kona cards on an every other year schedule, that would make a Kona 4 due this year.

Though I have no insider knowledge, I'd suspect a Kona 4 might handle RED. (Due to AJA's ties to Apple and RED).

Besides the "Kona 4K" is to good a name to pass up.

Doubt it. But I'm not sure what you mean by "handle"...
Hardware debayer/demosaic etc? That's all optimized for Intel procs.
Display/output 4K? Maybe...

There are 4K display, output, demosaic and debayer hardware boards lurking.
Some are said to surface this NAB. From Aja i dont know of a project.

What Im trying to figure out is whether its worth investing in an AJA card now or waiting at least after NAB.
easy.
WAIT.
Aja is excellent, but wait until NAB
