Hey guys, I’m introducing a free and super simple tool I made to help filmmakers recover corrupted RED R3D files. Here is the YouTube link:

hey Leo,
It looks like a great tool and thanks for taking the time to create it.
My only suggestion is to please consider making a Mac version.

PS- Have you ever thought of making a tool that batch syncs .RMD files between different copies of the same clip(s)?

Hey Brian,

Thanks so much for your kind words and thoughtful feedback — I really appreciate it!
We’re definitely planning to develop a Mac version of the tool, and once it's ready, I’ll make sure you’re the first to know.
Also, great idea regarding batch syncing of .RMD files between different copies of the same clip. That’s something we’ve been thinking about too.

Thanks again for reaching out!

Best,
Leo

That’s great to hear about the Mac version.
Yes, look forward to having the RED undead gui in the toolkit.

A .RMD sync tool did exist years ago but it and the developer have not been heard from.
There definitely is a void for such a tool and it is very helpful for keeping multiple backups and archives of the footage with matching settings.
