  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

2x 128 redmags v 1 256gb redmag?

Many would say 2 of the smaller units so you can 1. offload while shooting and 2. not have all the eggs in one basket.

Both are good for different reasons. I shoot live shows so the 256 is invaluable for being able to do a single 90 minute take.

2 x128s might be better in drama so you can swap out more often, backing up and checking shots.

So probably goes back to your style. If you are a single run and gunner that doesn't have time to stop, go for the 256. If you are in a more controlled environment with options, go for multiple 128s.

I have a 256 plus 2 x 128s and that gets me through most situations.

In a perfect world it be nice to have a couple of every size available haha.

2 for lesser risk and being able to offload while recording on 2nd unit

I have two 128G and shoot 8:1 - 12:1 range. Most days two 128 is all we shoot. I try to download at lunch just in case we need a 3rd card. Most jobs I'm my own media manager no DIT.
