In my options to set a mask I have 2:39:1 or 2:35:1, which one equals shooting 2:40 in the camera, and can I batch this in red rushes, has someone on here worked out the crop I need on 16:9 4k material to get a 2:40 mask on my rushes, I want to cut in the ratio that was shoot in, don't need to see the tops and bottoms, is it possible to edit in that ratio and not be in a 16-9 timeline, therefore doing away with crops all together? Anyone who has been down the same path who can save me a trip to the woods would be welcomed.

Ok so I have a bit of time to read up, 2.39.1 is 2.4.0, anyone know how I can workout the crop dimension for red rushes?

So looking at a trailer for a film that was shot in 2.40 it is 1920*800, but using the 2.39.1 markings on redcine the crop is 1920*807, can someone tell me what 2.40 is in hd frame size?
