After waiting for my 10 16G cards for the last 2 months I would have to say I am once again disappointing by RED...if it's not one thing it's another. In build 16 is was stated in the manual that the cards would do:
Rec 36
2K 16:9 -100 fps
2K 2:1 -120 fps

However in reality the cards will only do 90fps and 105fps. I bought the cards specifically for my needs because I use the camera for motorsports and the drives won't work unless it is Solid State and lord knows when those will be available.
Thanks again RED.

Max Frame Rates

Max Frame Rates

To clarify - the first Build to officially support 16GB CF cards was Build 17, which was released in October.

As stated in that Operations Guide the (minimum guaranteed) maximum frame rates for CF cards are -

8GB CF at REDCODE 28
---------------------------
2K 2:1 100 fps
2K 16:9 100 fps

8GB CF at REDCODE 36
---------------------------
2K 2:1 75 fps
2K 16:9 75 fps

16GB CF at REDCODE 28
---------------------------
2K 2:1 120 fps
2K 16:9 100 fps

16GB CF at REDCODE 36
---------------------------
2K 2:1 100 fps
2K 16:9 75 fps

Note: Build 16 16GB CF support was "preliminary" i.e for pre-release testing with select customers. The results of those tests demonstrated you could drop frames at REDCODE 36 at very high frame rates.

Hence the re-statement of max frame rates. However those frame rates are available with REDCODE 28
