I have a question for all to see if anyone has an answer. I was doing a shoot the other day and filled up four 16 GB CF cards. After the shoot was over I went and looked at the clips on my computer, they seemed to be fine and all good. I had a headache so I didn't immediately offload all of them. When I cam back about two days later to offload the cards. The files would not playback and the quicktime just showed green the whole time.

Has anyone else had this problem in the past? and what might be the cause? Should I start offloading right after shooting because I have no idea why this would happen.

O and when I try to use Red Undead, the files come back incomplete files.

Ran into this recently, use redline to transcode the corrupt clips to .dpx. When you hit a corrupt frame redline will throw up an error "unable to decode video", and start spitting out blank frames. Close the terminal window and pick up a few frames after the first corrupt frame by adding a --start xxxx to your script. Xxxx represents the new starting frame #.

I had the same probem last week, but on one of the copies I made from the card, the files on the other back-up and the card were fine. Evan, was yours corrupted on the card itself?

R3D Data Manager helps to ensure this doesnt happen. It ensures that all copies are exactly the same, even after the original card has been written over thousands of times.

Could somebody walk me through the redline process via terminal? I have this exact same issue and I've never used redline.
