10 Red One 4K cameras needed, concert in Manila

Help!

Our client needs to rent 10 sets of Red One 4K camera sets for a concert in Manila mid March 2009. We can supply only a few, but not all 10 sets. My client will fly in whatever I cannot supply.

Please let me know if your camera in Asia is available.

We've got a camera available in that range, if you don't mind flying it from Australia. Do you need operators as well? What level of kit do you need?

thanks for your reply. Client needs the basics: Red One camera, AC charger, AC cable to Red, 2 batterys, 320G drive, EVF or LCD, basic bracetry, base plate. Due to excess weight, it is better to source other acc locally such as Sachtler fluid head, tripod, matte box, rods, follow focus, monitor, etc. DIT no need, but maybe room and fee for a good camera operator with some concert experience. Airfare within Southeast Asia cheaper, I hope airfare from Down Under not too expensive. Let me know.

There is also a studio in guangzhou that i used to work for that owns two - called ACE Studios
Dan Carew is in hong kong - he's off to yunnan to shoot a feature but he knows the hong kong red network really well dan.carew@kandariver.com
Digital Magic in hong kong is a post house that owns several reds and the whole kits.
Noah Weinzweig at teneighty prod in beijing owns two in bejing - and there is also sim video.

i know there's reds in hanoi, thailand, malaysia, japan, and tons in india good luck

I have one camera & HD onset playback system available.

If your doing a concert consider using the SSD or the CF cards as you may have dropped frame issues with the "spinning" hard drives.
I have a 119 gig Red SSD in my kit, never a dropped frame!!

I'm US based and have a Passport!!

We were finally able to assemble a total of 11 Red One 4K cameras for the "Journey" concert in Mall of Asia, Manila on Mar 13 & 14. The stage, lighting and concert team were the very same team that did the pre Super Bowl ( American football) show in the US with Bruce Springstein. The requirements and specs are enormous: remote heads, steadicam, cranes, outdoor display, special lenses, etc. This will truly be an interesting experience for our team in Manila Philippines!

A total of 12 cameras, consisting of 10 Red One 4K cameras and 2 Sony full HD cameras were used on the "Journey" concert in Manila Philippines mid Mar 2009.

Veteran Red owner operators Steve Gibby (Red SN prototype "London" and SN 0008), Blair Paulsen (Red SN 17 & 19), and Champe Barton DIT (Red SN 216) generously shared their wealth of Red expertise to me and 7 Manila based cameramen who operated another five (5) Red One 4K cameras and 2 Sony HD cameras.

Thru R.S. Video & Film and RSVP Film Studios, some 50 top local crews (cameramen, TDs, DITs, crane operators, coordinators, technicians, electricians, grips, silent genny operators, etc.) were deployed. Director: Eli Tishberg, Producer: Dan Barnett of Wizard Ent, LD: Jeff Ravitz. Jib operator: Dave Hilmer. Between these "dream team" guys we've got: Superbowl 2009, Bruce Springstein, Grammy Awards, American Music Award, Bon Jovi, Jimmy Buffet, Bee Gees, Celine Dion, VH1, MTVs, and many more credits.

In addition to the five (5) Red One 4K cameras (with much higher SN: 675-5908), and 2 Sony HD cameras we supplied in Manila , including a Red One 4K camera from Ricky Lau of Hong Kong, we also supplied a Thoma TR3 remote head on a 36' Panther Pegasus crane, Jimmy Jib, Panther dollys on long tracks, Steadicam, Optimo 24-290 mm zoom lenses, Zeiss Master primes, Red zoom lenses, Panasonic 50" plasma monitors, crystal gennys, etc.

many thanks to everyone who made this "first 10 Red cam concert" a success, Anyone know of any concert using 10 Red One 4K cameras? Or are we the first?
