  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

    Canon L Primes vs. Cinema Primes

    I've co-purchased, in anticipation of an Epic-X purchase by year's end, a set of Canon L-primes. These consist of a 14mm L f2.8 II, 24mm f1.4 L II, 35mm f1.4 L II, 50mm f1.2 L, 85mm f1.2 II L, and 100mm f2.8 L macro. Mechanically, of course, a cinema lens (let's take the Arri compact primes)...

    Quick question, I've always been struck by how skinny most talent looks when viewed in 3D - I guess in 2D the camera really does add 10 lbs (5 kg), so 3D takes that off again! Actors/models are often thinner than us average beings, obviously to serve the harsh mistress that is the (2D) camera...

    http://www.zacuto.com/shootout I think it would have been more edifying to include Red in this shootout (would have blown the film away) - I guess they just wanted to aim it at DSLR shooters only?
