Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

These are the Sony Cinealta MKII Lenses, the all metal versions. Lenses are somewhat like a cross between Cooke S4 and Sigma Art...
I was at an Arri event and asked what the letters under the focus scale mean. It's apparently the batch of glass the optics came from. Can be one of several letters or double letters eg. HH or FF.
Interesting thanks. It was on a helium sensor when I tried it, maybe I misunderstood what I was seeing. You do need 360 degree shutter either way if you wanna avoid a dimming in the motion blur.
I am still on DSMC2 - if DSMC3 doesn't have speed ramping that's too bad... it's one of those situational tools where if you know you have it, you tend find scenarios where it's useful.
I made a preset button where it would speed ramp to 1fps exposure in 1 second, and releasing went back to...
The problem with long exposures is that hot pixels get extremely bad all over the image. You could have a blackshade for long exposures specifically but as I recall it didn't eliminate the hot pixels entirely. I guess the circuitry and processing is really fine tuned for shorter integration...
I believe HDRx doesn't dump halfway through the frame, if it did there would be a moment where the photosites are resetting and you'd have a blip in the motion blur. Instead it's just sneaking a second frame in while the shutter is 'closed'. Basically shooting 48fps with alternating shutter...
I think the hue is off because the shirt is already clipped on at least one color channel, the detail is just a reconstruction from the other channels. But it is clipped already.
When the X track is added, since the shutter angle is much smaller, the channel isn't clipped. But that isn't...
