I've heard good things about Tokina IRND and Schneider FSND for 4x5.65 filters – so I'm assuming B+W or Hoya Solas would be good options? Is stacking filters recommended? Like buying .3, 0.6, 1.2, 1.8, 2.4 and fine tuning with the .3 filter.

I want to use a matte box (4x4 Tilta) with lenses with 49mm and 47mm and 49.5mm and 40.5mm I think fronts. Is there a donut that will work with lenses this small or will I need step up rings? Thanks.

Just wondering if 4x4 ND filters will work with most lenses. I have mostly prime lenses, only one fast zoom, and it's designed for 4x4 filters.
