These are the times we love...
Sony announces a new 8K (4K actually) camera, a 4K home projector and some other stuff. We love it. Really.
These are the times of real action. Finally.
1080P has finally been exposed once and for all. It never was "good enough". God love Sony for helping...

The RED one was released 4 years ago. You could upgrade (and still can) a RED ONE to RED ONE M-X.
The RED ONE M-X was used to shoot "The Social Network", which was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Picture, Best Director and Best Cinematography in 2010. It was used on Pirates 4 which...
Everything changes. And it changes every day.
What seemed like a good idea 3 years ago might seem completely wrong today.
We reserve the right to change. Expect it. It is in your best interests that things change... and get better.
It shouldn't matter what we do, what we name our products...
You should use the "Check for Updates" inside REDCINE-X Professional if you have already installed it.
For those of you that are downloading for the 1st time...

Up 'til now, we have said what we are "going to do".
As of now, that has changed (we promised that everything is subject to change... including our strategy).
We will only announce new things when they are done and ready to ship. That includes Scarlet and all other new products and...

The future is NOT active glasses. That is preposterous. Simply incredibly stupid.
The "consortium" announced that active glasses are in our future. Not. Samsung, Panasonic and Sony.
Watch here for what the future really looks like.
Trust me on this one. They have lost their minds...
EPIC-X production has officially begun. The lines are rolling.
Cameras are being built and then go through an extensive QC effort. I would certainly expect EPIC-Xs to begin shipping this week...

The news that Steve has stepped down as Apple CEO sends ripples across the world. It implies that life is short. Things change. Make the most of what you have because it can go away as fast as it came.
I know Steve. I have met with him. I admire him. Steve has changed the world and set an...
I spent several hours today in meetings gathering updates about our progress for things we have in the works. I have to say... if you are mildly impressed with what we have accomplished in the past 5 years, you will be wildly excited about what we have coming in the future.
It really is hard...
"When I opened my first RED ONE package, it was like a sense memory. I hadn't felt that same thrill of absolute possibility since I was a boy, opening my first super 8 camera."
"When it came to added photography of Super 8, the RED ONE, without question, saved my ass." JJ.
BTW... JJ has dibs...
EPIC is being built by an American company that was initially called a scam.
EPICs are built in the USA (California actually).
EPICs have more resolution than any digital motion capture camera... at 120fps.
EPICs have more dynamic range than you need natively... and HDRx if you need more...
Get ready for a new set of EPIC accessories. Matt has been working overtime and we think you will be sufficiently surprised.
Jarred will post pics soon.

Peter Jackson was very interested in RED before we ever made a camera. Instead of calling us a scam, he invited us to New Zealand to shoot "tests" on RED ONE prototypes (the very 1st ones) before NAB 2007. That resulted in "Crossing the Line"... shot in two and a half days and projected at NAB...
