There is little question that RED is the one company that has the customer in mind. Or that RED is likely to "out-spec" the industry at any given price point. The RED flaw? Delivering. That is all changing. Since we brought Kent, Sean and Rusty over from Oakley... things are changing. Did...

I want to thank the 300 that attended our humble Scarlet presentation in Stage 6 at RED Studios Hollywood tonight. Apparently there was a cyber attack on reduser (and red.com) when I began posting just before 6pm PST. There was plenty of bandwidth to handle the traffic... but the system locked...

Scarlet has grown up. Seemingly overnight. Jim

It is like watching paint dry around here... maybe tomorrow will be better? :-) Jim

The future is dependent on those that push... not those that react. Jim

I love this stuff. So much. Apparently we have finally got the attention of "the big guys". Now the real fun begins. And the customer wins. Upgrades. Prices that consumers can swallow. Japan, China and Germany vs. the USA. Love it. We fully recognize that we are the underdogs in this...

Scarlet is now a professional camera. It will be more expensive. And there will be no discounts for RED ONE owners. That is all the bad news there is... Jim

Peter Lik shoots landscapes. Peter, Mick (his right hand) and I rented a room at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas with a balcony to try EPIC's hand at a "highly detailed shot". Stitching is a part of the landscape world, so this shot is stitched and graded just like a movie would be. We...

I want to make you aware of a new control in REDCINE-X Professional called "Alchemy". It will be enabled in a future release of RCX-P. It is a tool that is mandatory to know about. The version of RCX-P that includes Alchemy should be released very soon. When it is... try it. You'll like it...

Lots of new stuff... but Jarred won't let me. :-) Jim

I have read a lot of the posts regarding Scarlet. There are so many unrealistic expectations that it takes the wind out of our sails. Some people apparently have no idea what realistic is. "Why not 28K at 1000fps RAW in a raisin box for $800?" We are so happy to have a complete competitive...

It is burning a hole in my head waiting to announce on Nov. 3rd. I am so excited to announce that I can hardly stand it. Most of you know that it is hard for me to keep a secret. It kills me. All I can say is that if anyone in this industry is not paying attention on Nov. 3rd... you had...
