Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)
It's a pitty indeed.
But I try to heat up the camera to balckshade on a bit higher temp so the fan don't turn up too much. But sometimes the fan just do stuff without logic... speeding up event if it's not necessary....
BTW are RED folks from support still in here?
I suppose you finished in 2k your Alexa productions? In 2k you can easily zoom 2X. But the biggest factor is focus and framing for the mooving part. It's like using a 25mm or a 50mm not the same composition even if it's a frame on sticks.
Not to be political :ROFLMAO: but tarifs are a way to get money for the next war (be it Ai robotics or bombs) without taxing the rich. I don't believe in the "only USA made makes jobs" theory. If you want an autarkic authoritarian country (like North Korea) you probably would adopt this policy...
Hello Phil,
I don't find it on Resolve.... Does it have another name than AV1?
I've done some test with Jpeg2000 for DCP encoding in 4k with grain and 250Mb/s is just the lower limit.
350Mb/s would be just enough. Hope they also change that...
I'm just amazed by what I see here in AV1...
I've never seen such a good codec for the web. Usually you see 8k content on showroom TV with a lot of compression artefacts. This would also solve the problem.
- computational expenses are getting less problematic than 6 years ago. How much more computationally intense is this codec VS H265?

Hello,
Just come across this codec (it's been here for 6 years now) and was amaized by the finess of the details, the lack of banding. No blocking artefacts and even 8k support for the same data level as H264 (what they say).
I wounder why this open, royalty-free codec isn't more implemented...
I've seen it on RED Control but I'm not monitoring with the Red Control but with my EVF through SDI... It should also be implementend in the SDI overlay in the RED Control or DSMC2 Style. Please.
Hello, looking into the RED DSMC3 touch monitor with RMI (usb3 type) control and was wondering if there is only one module on the maket to convert the multipin to RMI ?
I'm using the Komodo-X and find the desing of RED's module kind of clumsy if I want to add a nato rail on top of it (to put my...
