Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)
I'm selling one of my EVFs.
Lightly used.
Privately owned.
Never rented.
It's in Sydney, Australia right now, but I could ship it anywhere.

I'm sure it's already been asked somewhere. I recall Jim replying that with the Redmote, you have a button anywhere, but I can't see how it can be put just under the eyepiece on the left side, like the Red One and most other movie, and it shouldn't be an issue fixed with an accessory anyway.
So...
Can anyone from Red please shed (visible) light on the performance of the Mysterium X with regard to infrared pollution. I can't recall ever reading a post from a Red representative about this. Certainly no mention on Oct 30.
There'll certainly be noise if there isn't a positive improvement...
Now that changing to a high framerate now longer requires changing from 4k to 3k or 2k... How about a user-defined button being able to switch the camera from "normal" to another user-defined off-speed framerate, (maintaining shutter angle) - a very handy feature expected on all modern film cameras?
It's got a low budget. Regular Indie rates.
Shooting on Reds.
We need to hire ASAP.
Shooting August 3-23

The RED ONE's been out for 18 months or so now, and there's no Operations Guide in any language other that English.
I shoot in many countries, come across camera assistants with little English, who bravely go through menus, setting up cameras, with their reputations on the line if they screw...
I broke down a camera for travel, and left behind the two countersunk 3/8" bolts that keep the Red cheeseplate to the baseplate.
I need them urgently before I travel to China on Monday March 2, so unless I find some in a hardware store, I'll come to you anywhere in NYC and give you a HUGE $15...
This Pic was originally posted by Gibby to show off the new ET handheld rig.
I'm a bit worried about the evolution of the EVF ergonomics on the Red One. In the pic below, the viewfinder is pointing down, because he can't get the EVF forward enough in a position low enough. He's found a...
According to the new brochure,
Red One:
pixels are 5.4 microns
sensor width is 24.4 mm
total pixels: 4900 wide
S35 Epic and Scarlet:
pixels 5.4 microns
sensor width is 30mm
total pixels is 5120 wide, just 220 pixels more than Red One
???
Seems to me that Eric can now collapse with joy, as many new FF35 camera owners will be wanting electronic lens control of their canon or nikon lenses.
Hopefully EF-S lens-mounting ability also, which will also work with the S35 sensors or cropped FF35 sensor options.
I'm glad it's going to work...
what's with the S35 sensor area of 30mm x 15mm?
That's 2:1!!!!
So epic adds extra width, but not so much extra Height.
It won't be a 5k camera if you're shooting 16:9.
It'll be about 4.4k.
Jim- put a PL mount on the Monstro cameras!!
Pixel count would end up being the same as your S35 for 16:9...
I've just bought a Convergent Designs Flash XDR for director's reviewing of takes on set, and it doesn't seem to like the HD-SDI from the red.
Mike Schell there needs to test with a Red. He's in Col. Springs. i'm down in Ausralia. Can anyone please help him?
He's here:
