    Introducing the Nikon Zr

Yep, it's 100% just N-raw. Red added n-raw to cine x pro and their SDK, which let you process n-raw with IPP2. I get the marketing behind calling it R3D, but it's disapointinng it doesn't have the same "normal/ high" options as n-raw. It's also disapointing that Log3G10 isn't availble with other...

    Introducing the Nikon Zr

I have to ask if anyone at Red gave input on this camera.. because there's a list of compromises.. Micro HDMI, no mounting points, can't tilt the screen if you use any of the ports, card slot is in the battery compartment, and you can't use Red Log3G10 with any other codecs, and the mic gets in...

    Whats next RED 2026?

Apparently Nikon/ Red have a recent patent of some form or external recording system. Considering Red & Nikon cameras already do internal raw, I wonder if they're looking to allow other brands to record raw externally using their codecs and colour pipeline? I think the benefit of owning the...

Should copy & paste so we don't have to give clicks to someone who supports genocide

    Nikon NRAW Red workflow

I found the same issue. Report it to Red. Hopefully it gets resolved.

What to expect from a RED camera with Z mount?

I'm not so sure. I think consumers are just very well aware that tech gets cheaper and better every year. I'm going to talk about the lower end, which is also the biggest market by a long shot. The type of people who rigs up mirrorless cameras (me). But it's awful body design for video. So...

    Nikon NRAW Red workflow

Yeah that's not great. Have you passed that onto Blackmagic? Looks like nraw is getting supported as part of Red's SDK, I wonder if that will improve things in resolve? It would probably still be a wait.

    What next on RED?

Probably right. Nikon has been taking a long time to release things lately. Somehow, it's both incredibly surprising and not surprising they weren't already working on a video body of the Z8. Like an fx6, c80, komodo.

    What next on RED?

Made an account just to say the one thing Nikon/ Red could do would be next level is release a lens motor with a usb C cable to the camera to use the camera's autofocus tech. DJI and PDmovie have shown there's a demand for AF systems for cine lenses. Imagine if you could get that without all...
