Hello, I need some help.
I would like to shot with anamorphic 1.5 x with my Gemini .
Could you explain me How can I do that in term of resolution and sensor ?
I would like to finalize in 2:1 at the end. There is no 1.5x squeeze in the menu .
Thank you

There's no 1.5x anamorphic support in-camera on GEMINI, but you can still use your lens. Plan to desqueeze and crop in post. Use an SDI monitor with custom desqueeze settings to monitor in-camera.

The Gemini doesn’t have a dedicated 1.5x de-squeeze option, but that’s not a problem you can still shoot with a 1.5x anamorphic lens.I’d recommend recording using the full sensor (or the largest 16:9 mode that your lens covers) and leaving the footage squeezed in camera. Then, in post, apply a 1.5x horizontal de squeeze in your editing or grading software DaVinci Resolve
Since your final delivery is 2:1, desqueeze the footage first, then crop to a 2:1 timeline. This gives you the most flexibility for framing
Unless you need an in-camera preview, there’s no downside to handling the 1.5x desqueeze in post. If monitoring is important, an external monitor like an Atomos or SmallHD can often apply a custom 1.5x de-squeeze while recording
Just out of curiosity, which anamorphic lens are you using with the Gemini That may affect the best recording mode depending on its image circle.

Thank you very much for your reply. I'm in pre-production , I'm looking for the best lens for the movie .
Presently, I test Laowa Nanomorph 1.5 x LF with my Red Gemini in 5K - 6:5 .
The final format will be 2:1 .
