Hey everyone,
I’m new to REDuser and just getting into the RED ecosystem and high-end cinema cameras in general. I’ve been reading a lot but figured it would be better to join and learn directly from people with real-world experience.
I’m especially interested in how people are building their rigs, handling workflow (DIT, storage, editing), and what you wish you knew when you first started with RED cameras.
Any advice for a beginner would be appreciatedgear choices, common mistakes, or workflow tips all welcome.
Looking forward to learning from you all and seeing some great work here.

I’d head over to eoshd.com to pick up tips from real world users. Not high-end cinema but learning to walk before running can be useful. Lots of Nikon experience there too. And learning how to light & expose is a skill applicable to shooting with a phone or a high end cinema camera…
