Samir Karam’s film industry career began ever since 1993 in ICN Lebanon , where after he moved to Dubai to work as a freelancer for Rotana MBC , and as a senior camera man for Dubai TV for 11 years .

Completing Film Making at New York Film Academy in London, currently he works professionally through his own company, High End Films, since 2008 specialized in, equipment rental, filming and many other media services .

As a Director of Photography, Samir specializes in new digital cinema technology for: drama, documentary, feature movies, short movies, video clips, broadcast commercial production and multi-media platforms.

Samir's technical competence, creativity and leadership have allowed him to benefit crews both locally and internationally, having worked as far abroad as Italy, Germany, London,America and Nigeria.

Several productions featuring his work as D.O.P. / camera operator have been recognized by awards including: 2007 Gulf Film Festival Best Cinematography for " The Tinbak " short movie.

As methods of electronic communication rapidly develop, Samir has stayed at the forefront of his field by continuously upgrading his experience level, in 2010 acquired certification for advanced cinematography in Florence Italy and a certificate for steadicam workshop from BBC London

He enhanced his skills to include High Definition as well as multi-media, through working on cameras from HD, to RED, 16, 35 mm and most recently the first in UAE to work with the HDiablo. The high speed camera He offers experience and understanding in creating outstanding material whether it's for an advertisement or feature film screen.
