    encoding 2k vs 4k

    If you are working on an Avid and need to encode the red file to their MXF format for cutting is it faster to encode a 2k file then a 4k file?

    QT wrapper codecs for fast import

    If I am working with HD media on an avid. when using red rushes would making a QT wrapper in DNxHD as opposed to the other codecs speed up importing into avid due to it being wrapped in the DNxHD codec?

    timecode errors in avid

    after importing QuickTime reference files made by red rushes the clips in avid jump midway through to a much later timecode.
