    Converting R3D files for older Mac

    Hi, I'd appreciate any help with this. I heard that I could use an Intel Mac (borrowed from a friend) with REDCINE to convert files that I could use on my Mac G5 Dual 2 that has FCP 6.05. Is this true? If so, what is the basic procedure for this and what would be the best codec to use. thanks...
