Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)
I know this is probably a hard question to answer since it is not out yet.
But for someone who wants 720p/1080p out of the box, is there any estimate of how much footage can be recorded onto a 16GB CF card? Let's say we are talking Redcode 42 or whatever.
Are we talking about 20 minutes or an...

I want to buy the Red Ram for my Red One, but I want to make sure it will be compatible with the Epic at it's highest quality setting, otherwise I will wait.
Anyone from Red care to chime in or does this need to wait for the November announcement?
So.. if I saw correctly, this is coming out in a month or so?
I want to know about any spec changes, is it still going to be 64gb or higher?
Also, price change?
I am pretty sure it will, but I just wanted to ask....
If we are working with native Red files, we can edit, color correct and then just use Adobe Media Encoder to output directly to Mpeg 2 files?
What if I want to use another encoder, what would be the best format to output to? 1080p Quicktimes?
I need some help. I had done a Google search a month ago and came across a company that was renting and posting Red footage.
They had a special offer to transcode .r3d files to whatever codec you wanted for $25 an hour.
I forgot to bookmark them.
Can someone help me figure out who they were...
I get confused with all the millimeter sizes of sensors and frame areas.
Will older lenses, such as Cooke 20-100mm, still cover the Epic's 5k sensor area like they cover the Red One?
Did anyone else watch this?
What is up with that camera technique? Zoom in, zoom in, pause, zoom out, cut, repeat.
I watched about 20 minutes and wanted to go outside and destroy someone's car.
Holy hell.
Does anyone know the technical details of this show? What format, stocks, lenses, etc.?
IMDB didn't show anything other that what lab they use and a google search didn't turn up much.
