My RED One #1644 is not for sale.

It's a kick ass camera, and it will be an even more kick ass as soon the MX upgrade backlog catches up with my MX upgrade order.

Red 1644 won't be for sale after the MX upgrade.

1644's stage two Epic upgrade has been reserved and the Epic won't be for sale once it arrives either.

Just felt like there needed to be one post from the guys who are actually keeping their cameras

Steve

There are over 7000 cameras out there. The cameras for sale here aren't even 1% of that.

It's definitely not the majority but I see why people sell now.

Wait until you get your EPIC and people start offering to pay you a big premium plus plus. Reminds me of an old joke where a man would ask a woman if she'd sleep with him for a Million dollars and she answers "Of course!". Then he asks if she'd sleep with him for $50 and she says "No way, what do you think I am, A prostitute?" to which he replies "We've already determined what you are, now we are just haggling over the price".

Stephen, perhaps you aren't ready to sell it, but deep down you know you want to just give your RED away to someone who's needier than you.
I mean some of the "offers" and "deals" i've seen or heard about...some people are expecting everything for nothing. Perhaps I just don't understand economics...
I saw someone here who wants to jump the line on an Epic for like $15k less than what it will be selling for new. Go figure....

so stephen you'll be donating it to my non-profit studio? :w00t:

OK, I'll sell mine... RED One #1110 with impending MX upgrade and Stage-2 Epic-X (already reserved and deposit paid). Both cameras for $700K, firm. I'll just take some time off until I can buy Epic 645.

LOL

WTH have I started here?

That will teach me to post when I've got a latex contact high.

Fair enough, for 700K I'd prove to be exactly what Michael joked about :-)

Jeff gets to be first in line because he created the business model, but I'll start the new race to the bottom by dropping my price point relentlessly to 699,999.95

And George, sorry bud, I already run a non profit.

Not that it was planned that way...

:-)

Steve

699.999.90 for Red one #476mx (and all mentioned above), hell I'll even throw in a good bottle of champagne for you to celebrate your purchase.

These astronomical figures are becoming a bit ridiculous IMHO. Let's bring the sale terms back to something more reasonable, shall we?

Looking around my desk, I have a racquetball (sea-green, not the average blue) with some pen scrawling on it, a near-empty bag with the remainder of what seems to be almonds, some random papers and receipts, and a handful of brand-new-never-used zip-ties...all of which are eligible for upgrade. I am willing to arrange a lease-to-own deal with the first interested party who can satisfy my minimum terms of sale, which for the sake of ease I will place at $19,500 USD. Please bear in mind that the lucky recipient of the above items will also be granted access to future desk clutter for a period of five (5) years, during which time I can assure you there will be a great bounty.

Please PM me with any offers.

Cheers,
Clint

So I guess those who sold out for high premiums are high-priced prostitutes. I'm gonna go take a shower... :embarassed:

I'm getting the impression that some people didn't think I was serious.
