I did a search for this before I posted and could not find anything, so I apologize in advance if this has been covered already.

I remember reading in a earlier post, that someone had connected their Apple iPad to their camera for use as a "live" monitor. Could someone please tell me how this was accomplished including hardware and software used.

I am hoping to connect my Nikon D300 to get a result similar to the LV Nikon Camera control/Capture system. It would be great to take the ipad into the field instead of the laptop. As I understand it, this would have applications for the Epic and Scarlet also ?

Cheers Team.

The Epic has Wifi. so IPad in the field will be possible.

I recall Sanjin posting something about the possibility of using WIFI on Red with a $995 US interface.

The proxy module can do this.

I think you're referring to the web video setups mentioned on here previously. As I understood it, the system used a combination of a video capture or conversion box (an ADC) and a slingbox type video server or elgato video input etc - the video is then available on a local wireless network via any device with a browser, such as an iphone or ipad, as long as it is in the right codec.

I'd say that right now it would be possible to use something like the slingbox for a very simple setup for an iphone or ipod touch, but the client is not yet available for the ipad. Air video is software already available for the ipad that would allow you to access video via IP. Not too tricky to achieve, but with some delay obviously.
