Does a "Canon electronic mount" mean that I will be able to control aperture via Scarlet / Epic once they are out? [it sounds like it but I want to make sure....]

Zeiss ZE does not have an aperture ring, the ZF does, and I am contemplating between the two.

I am buying these for my 5D and later for my Red. Can someone from Red confirm that it will be possible to control aperture thru the camera? I really don't want to buy the wrong set of lenses...

Mike, my understanding is that Red want these cameras to do all with Nikon and Canon lenses that their 'native' cameras do and more (touch screen focussing is one example).
Can't wait for our Epic to ship. We'll be ordering an EF mount with it when it comes.

Aperture and Focus via touch screen. However, as I understand it, keep in mind there are a lot of variations with existing lenses. It may be that at first only certain Canon or Nikon lenses will work perfectly, others will sorta work and others won't work at all.

Can someone from RED confirm this? If this is confirmed I will get the ZE, if not, the ZF and use them with adapters, but I rather not... I really rather get the ZE...

RED?
